Free Lego Apps
for All Ages and Skills

My class is a buzz with the LEGO Apps.

Is your child or student having a difficult time handling the small LEGO pieces? True, there are the large sized LEGOs called the Duplo but sometimes they wish is to play with the small LEGOs with its elaborate pieces and designs. But when pieces are grabbed by the Cerebral Palsied or Ataxic hand and the pieces ends up in their fist, they cannot add the next piece. It’s a battle for them to get the pieces positioned correctly.

But I have found the touch screen to be the surface that equalizes. Swipe, drag, tap.

It is wonderful when a brand creates an app that everyone can use. All feeling successful while at play.

Easy movements for the impaired hand. Easy movements for the toddler hand. A successful app no matter how you look at it or how you use it.

Finally a game that is useable for the non-reader. Graphics help highlight what needs to be touched. The characters are drawn large, it feel like a Duplo page. Conversations are in picture form. Touch almost anything and something happens.

This makes me want more short stories with simple motor gestures.

Recommended for 4 to 7 year olds but for the young group of kids who cannot physically play with the LEGO, this is a nice app to start learning how to drag, tap and release to build dinosaurs, rabbits, ghosts and many other fun objects.

I cannot tell you how elated one of my student was when he saw a LEGO app to use.

LEGO Minifigures Collector
By The LEGO Group
3 STARS out of 5

A fun and easy game for the kids. Collect the minifigures by matching the head, body and legs. Yes, I said easy... Easy to swipe and make the body parts whirl like a slot machine but where it will stop is not easy. It is luck.

But to be able to play a game to collect pieces is fun for the little ones and for the motorically challenged. They won’t lose, drop or break the pieces.

A real hit with all the kids and students who use it.
