Spotlight Hawaii publishes Oahu Gold, Maui Gold, Kauai Gold and Big Island Gold. 100 Aloha Shirts -アロハ100選-
By 株式会社 朝日新聞社

Aloha shirts, with their vivid and attractive colors, have become enormously popular not only in Hawaii, but also in every part of the world including Japan. This book is published on the occasion of an organization of an exhibition of Aloha shirts made during 1930s‐50s from the world-famous Kobayashi collection. The finest and rarest shirts owned by Mr. Ryoichi Kobayashi, one of the most prominent collectors of Aloha shirts, are shown in this book. Experts on graphic design, customs of Hawaii and history of fashion have contributed their essays to this book. Photographs of the shirts and accompanying explanatory texts are sorted into six groups according to motifs and patterns of the shirts. The shirts, through their motifs and themes, eloquently tell us what the world was like when those shirts were made.

Ukulele - Hawaiian Guitar
By NETTuno s.r.l.
2.5 STARS out of 5

Sometimes when you are all alone, you have your Hawaii travel guides spread out in front of you. You may think you can hear the distant sounds of the ukulele. You may be right! You may be hearing your own creations. This ukulele is easy to use but there are many features to use for the ukulele player.

It can be used by both the right and left handed person. Or by anyone who can strum.

I used it in my classroom when we discussed Hawaii. Each student got to strum across the surface of the device and make beautiful music.
